We made the rounds this week at the SCORRE Conference in beautiful Rome, GA and asked our students one question:
“What was the best part for you?”
We’ve had an eclectic group this year — school teachers and physicists and full-time authors — and they all found their own way to uniquely apply the coaching and instruction.
Here’s what they had to say in their own words:
For those who attended: What’s been the best part of the SCORRE Conference for you? Share your answer in the comments.
The SCORRE conference is a game changer. The teaching, the mentoring, the direct contact, interaction, and inspiration is one every public speaker, author, and/or creative artist should have on their life. Your means of communication is never the same after the experience. I am trying to make plans to return, there is nothing else like it.
Don, you invested all of yourself in the process. That’s the primary reason you came away changed and improved! We’d love to have you back!
Within hours of returning home, a woman came to my door and asked me to speak to her Mother-Daughter Banquet next week. It was so good to know “I can do this; I have the tools to prepare and execute this with excellence.” Thanks for an awesome week of teaching, leading and encouraging. Michelle, your closing talk has come back to me so often in the last 24 hours. It was the perfect frosting to cover the amazing week!
Thank you, Betty.
I’m SO glad you finally came to SCORRE. We loved having you there! You’re going to do great next week–keep us posted!
I have my first speaking event next Friday (11th). I am looking forward to SCORREing my talk this week, and delivering a talk that will no longer just be entertaining, but will give tools to enable women to apply what I’ve shared in their life.
The best part of the SCORRE conference? Everything! But in addition to what I learned, I especially appreciated the affirmation of my speaking gift, and the relationships made.
*My first speaking event following the SCORRE conference, not my first speaking event ever.*
